Chopping Block
Maybe it was wishful thinking on my part, but of the games I play, not all are overflowing with design and engineering topics I could write about. There are a slew of reasons besides quality that a game would not suitable for an article. The simple fact is that there are finite time resources to do research and write the article. The game might not have a reasonable hook for such an article. The most interesting design points for an article may be too sophisticated to recreate. Topics may have already been covered from another game. There are simple technical issue; not every game is able to run on my personal PC, some games I’d like to cover are for devices and consoled I don’t have, and quite frankly not every game works properly. There are also games that simple can’t hold my attention. None of these reasons imply a game is poorly designed or built. To that end I’ll discuss them in a limited fashion and explain why it a game made it onto the chopping block.
